We did two themed walks on the 1857 Mutiny and Delhi’s evolution as the imperial capital. The walks were truly amazing and an eye opener even for us who are of Indian heritage. Surekha has done great research for the walks and is so passionate about the subject that we really felt history living. She has an amazing ability to get you into places that a normal tourist wouldn’t know even existed. As a part of one of the days we had lunch at Sham Nath villas , a luxury home stay -full of great historical associations with modern Indian history, and the food was excellent – simple, home cooked, tasty Delhi food. Surekha does a number of other themed walks that we are definitely going to do the next time we are in Delhi. Sid & Rachna London Nov. 2011
