Delhi’s Hidden Heritage: An Illustrated talk on Delhi’s well known and not so known monuments by Conservationist Surekha Narain, a Dilliwala wholeads popular Heritage Walks in and around Delhi.

Ms Narain has agreed to take members (for only IIC members) for the following walks:-

18 Nov. 2011, 4-6 pm Walk in Jor Bagh to discover the Awadh connection, 4 -6 pm. Here we explore a lesser known Shia  site with relics of the Ali, the Prophet’s son-in-law.  What is the connection here with the Awadh Nawabs?

25 Nov. 2011, 4-6 pm, Walk around IIC, Lodhi Estate, for the Architecture, History, Birds, Trees, Butterflies. The area all around Lodhi Estate is an all/ anytime favorite for the architecture, monuments and nature.  Let’s walk the area to discover what makes it so special.
